Game Drives

The game drive is the heartbeat of every Tanzanian safari. Aboard our custom 4x4 Land Cruisers with pop-up roofs, you will traverse the legendary national parks of the Northern Circuit — the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire and Lake Manyara — in search of Africa’s most iconic wildlife.

Expect close encounters with lions lazing on kopjes, elephants marching between baobab trees, towering giraffes browsing the acacias, and endless herds of zebras and buffaloes sweeping across the plains. Every drive is different: cheetahs on a morning hunt, leopards draped over sausage-tree branches, or the thunder of the Great Migration.

Our professional driver-guides know these parks intimately. They read the landscape, track fresh signs, and position you perfectly — then share the stories and science behind every sighting.

Walking Safari

Step out of the vehicle and feel the bush come alive. Led by professional, armed safari guides and park rangers, a walking safari reveals the wilderness at its most intimate — the crunch of dry grass underfoot, the scent of wild sage, and the sudden stillness when something moves nearby.

On foot, the smaller wonders take centre stage. Your guide deciphers animal tracks pressed into the dust, points out medicinal plants used for generations, and identifies the calls of hornbills, rollers and weaverbirds. Dung beetles, termite cathedrals and delicate antelope all become part of the story.

Walks are tailored to your pace, from gentle nature strolls near camp to immersive half-day hikes through private conservancies and crater highlands.

Hot Air Balloon Safaris

Before dawn, the balloon inflates in the half-light as the Serengeti slowly wakes below. Then, with a whisper of flame, you rise — drifting silently over the endless plains as the sun spills gold across the horizon. It is widely considered the most magical hour in all of Africa.

From above, the landscape unfolds like a living map: wildebeest columns threading between kopjes, hippos crowding the river bends, elephants casting long morning shadows, and giraffes moving in slow motion beneath you. Your pilot adjusts altitude constantly — skimming treetops one minute, climbing for vast panoramas the next.

Every flight ends in classic style with a champagne bush breakfast served on the savanna, right where the balloon touches down.

Bush Meals

Some meals you remember forever — not for the menu alone, but for the setting. A bush meal trades the dining room for the open savanna: breakfast beside a hippo pool as the mist lifts, a shaded lunch beneath a spreading acacia, or a lantern-lit dinner under a sky heavy with stars.

Our camp chefs prepare everything fresh on site, from full English breakfasts and grilled specialities to Swahili-spiced dishes made with local ingredients. Tables are laid with linen and safari china while the sounds of the wild — doves, distant lions, the evening chorus of the bush — provide the soundtrack.

Bush meals can be added to any itinerary and make an unforgettable surprise for honeymoons, birthdays and family celebrations.

Cultural Visit

Tanzania’s greatest treasure is not only its wildlife — it is its people. A cultural visit welcomes you into local communities to experience daily life, traditions and hospitality that reach back countless generations.

Visit a Maasai boma to join the rhythmic jumping dance, learn how cattle shape every part of Maasai life, and browse intricate beadwork made by the village women. In the foothills of Kilimanjaro, walk through Chagga coffee farms and banana groves, or spend a morning with Hadzabe hunter-gatherers near Lake Eyasi — one of the last communities of their kind on Earth.

These visits are arranged respectfully and in true partnership, so your presence directly supports the communities who host you.

Night Game Drive

When the sun sets, the bush changes shift — and an entirely different cast of characters emerges. In special open-sided vehicles fitted with red-filtered spotlights, your guide and tracker lead you into a world most safari-goers never see.

Eyes glint back from the darkness: bushbabies leaping between branches, genets and civets slinking through the grass, porcupines rattling their quills, and — if fortune favours you — the elusive aardvark or a leopard beginning its hunt. Lions, so sleepy by day, become focused and vocal, their roars rolling across the night air.

Night drives are available in select areas such as Lake Manyara National Park and private conservancies, and pair beautifully with a bush dinner beforehand.
