Your 5-Day Ol Doinyo Lengai Adventure
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you will be warmly welcomed by our representative and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. Depending on your arrival time, you can relax and prepare for your upcoming adventure. In the evening, your guide will provide a detailed briefing about the trek, safety procedures, and the unique experience of climbing Ol Doinyo Lengai, famously known as the "Mountain of God" by the Maasai people.

After breakfast, depart from Arusha and drive through the beautiful landscapes of the Great Rift Valley toward Lake Natron. Along the way, enjoy spectacular views of volcanic mountains, traditional Maasai villages, and the vast open plains of northern Tanzania. Upon arrival at Lake Natron, check into your lodge or camp and spend the afternoon relaxing. You may choose to explore the lake area, famous for its flamingos and dramatic scenery. Enjoy dinner and rest early in preparation for the midnight climb.

Shortly after midnight, begin your ascent of Ol Doinyo Lengai (2,962 m). The climb is steep and challenging, but the reward is an unforgettable sunrise from the summit. As you ascend, enjoy incredible views of the Great Rift Valley, Lake Natron, and the surrounding volcanic landscapes. Upon reaching the summit, witness one of Africa's most spectacular sunrises and admire the unique volcanic formations that make this mountain famous. After spending time at the summit, descend carefully back to the base and return to your lodge for a well-deserved rest. Spend the remainder of the day relaxing and recovering from the climb.
